The Traditional Council is pleased to release the official schedule for this year's Harvest Festival, one of the most important celebrations in our traditional calendar.

Festival Overview

The Harvest Festival is a time of thanksgiving, celebration, and community gathering. It marks the end of the agricultural season and provides an opportunity to give thanks for the year's harvest and blessings.

Schedule of Events

Day One: Purification and Preparation

  • Traditional cleansing rituals
  • Preparation of communal spaces
  • Evening vigil and prayers

Day Two: Main Durbar

  • Grand procession of chiefs and elders
  • Display of traditional regalia
  • Cultural performances from various communities
  • Address by Obrempong Ameyaw Amponsem II
  • Community feast

Day Three: Community Celebrations

  • Youth cultural competitions
  • Traditional games and sports
  • Market day and craft exhibitions
  • Closing ceremonies

Important Information

All citizens, both at home and in the diaspora, are invited to participate in these celebrations. Visitors from other areas are welcome and will be received with traditional hospitality.
