Agricultural Development Support

Comprehensive agricultural support programme including farmer training, access to improved seeds and inputs, market linkages, and support for value addition and processing.

The Agricultural Development Support programme aims to enhance agricultural productivity and income for farmers in the traditional area. The programme includes training on modern farming techniques, access to improved seeds and inputs, market linkages, and support for value addition and processing.

The programme will work with farmer groups and cooperatives to ensure collective action and shared benefits. Emphasis will be placed on sustainable farming practices that protect the environment while improving productivity.

Support for value addition and processing will enable farmers to capture more value from their produce, increasing income and creating employment opportunities. Market linkages will connect farmers to buyers and ensure fair prices for their products.

The programme is in the planning phase, with farmer consultations and needs assessments completed. Implementation will begin in the coming months, with a focus on building capacity and establishing sustainable systems for agricultural development.
