Environmental Conservation Initiative

Comprehensive environmental conservation programme focusing on afforestation, sustainable land use practices, protection of water sources, and promotion of renewable energy solutions.

The Environmental Conservation Initiative addresses the critical need to balance development with environmental stewardship. The programme includes community tree planting campaigns, education on sustainable farming practices, protection of water sources, and promotion of renewable energy solutions.

Over 5,000 trees have been planted across the traditional area, with community members trained as environmental stewards to ensure long-term care and protection. The programme also includes initiatives to protect and restore degraded lands.

The initiative supports the development of sustainable tourism opportunities that benefit communities while protecting the environment. Conservation efforts are locally led and sustained through community participation and ownership.

Recent activities have included community tree planting events, training workshops on sustainable agriculture, and the establishment of protected areas around water sources. The programme continues to expand its reach and impact.
